We are proud to share that the Lake Wales History Museum received a $12,000 grant from the Mountain Lake Community Service organization. This funding supports the first phase of transforming our back freight room into a fully functional program space and rental venue, The Freight. Enables us to host more internal programs and community events. Opens new opportunities for private rentals, making it a long-term revenue generator. Enhances our ability to serve as a cultural and educational resource for Lake Wales.

Nestled in the heart of Lake Wales, Florida, the Lake Wales History Museum stands as one of Polk County's oldest and most cherished institutions. Our museum offers a gateway to the past, inviting visitors to explore exhibits that celebrate our rich local heritage. We are currently open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm.
